1.1.    To educate the undergraduates of School of Medicine University of Sumatera Utara
1.2.    To educate the undergraduates of Faculty of Dentistry University of Sumatera Utara

2.   Medical Doctor

- To educate the postgraduates (clerkship) of School of Medicine University of Sumatera Utara

3.  Adult Neurology Residency

- Neurology department as the centre of residency, under the Medical Faculty University of Indonesia, since 1977 - 1993

- Neurology department became autonomous as the centre of neurology residency, started from 1994 until now

- Academic Activity :

The rotations are inpatient-based with patients on the general neurology, stroke, and epilepsy services, and also in outpatient clinics.

Scientific sessions such as : Textbook Reading, Journal Reading, Refarat, and Science research

Rotations through subspeciality clinics, and other departments, such as Cardiology Department, Internal Medicine Department, and Anesthesiology Department.
